About Me

A proactive and committed professional with over 5 years of experience in education, digital media, and project management. I am a result-oriented and creative individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and expertise in developing training plans, multimedia storytelling, internet research, and programme execution. I've taught, managed projects, oversaw editorial operations, assigned duties, conducted digital investigations, and edited content. I have extensive experience in social media management, web publishing, and digital media content creation.

I am experienced in delivering continuing training and support. My abilities include producing concept notes, project work plans, budgeting, community interaction, and developing unique, engaging, long-term programmes. I am versatile and always eager to learn, modify, and tackle new difficulties.

Volunteer Engagement

I volunteer as Program Manager at Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS), a non-profit organisation that aims to empower and inspire young people through education, leadership and entrepreneurship. At EFSS, I am the project team leader of the South Sudan National Spelling Bee, a competition that promotes literacy and academic excellence among pupils and students piloted in 2022.

In 2022, I took part in co-founding the Yei Day Secondary School Alumni Network (YDSSAN), a dynamic platform that facilitates connections and provides support for former students and staff. Guided by my passion for driving positive change, I am dedicated to making a difference in my community and country. Through innovative and impactful initiatives, I strive to foster personal and professional growth, promote organizational excellence, enhance human welfare, and strengthen social relationships.

From March 2016 to May 2021, I taught English Language and Social Studies in primary schools across Yei and Juba, including Goodluck, Ginana, Seventh Day Adventist, and Bishop Mazzoldi Memorial Primary Schools. I served as a Computer Appreciation Trainer at Remia Technologies in Juba. I have demonstrated unwavering dedication, resourcefulness, and a drive to achieve goals throughout my career. My commitment lies in fostering social and community growth for all citizens. Known for my adaptability and inclusive nature, I possess a talent for designing engaging, hands-on projects that ignite the imaginations of beneficiaries and bring about impactful results.

Previous Work and Education

From November 2019 to January 2022, I was a Reporter and Digital Editor at Equator Broadcasting Corporation, South Sudan Exposed, and Talk of Juba. In these roles, I helped amplify these brands' online visibility and reach. I also gained valuable experience as a freelance contributor for Juba Echo, a private online news publisher. My responsibilities included conducting research, interviews, and analysis to deliver high-quality articles and reports. Engaging actively in content creation, editing, and optimization for digital platforms, I contributed to the success of these media entities.

My educational background includes studies in Computer Science, although I did not complete the Bachelor's degree program in that field. I hold a certificate in Journalism (and Radio Presentation) and a diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation. I have received specialized training in various areas, including Digital Security, Fact-checking and Information Verification, multimedia storytelling, Information Ethics and Media Information Literacy, Human Centered Design, Basics of Investigative and Data Journalism, Social Media Management, Digital Marketing, and Freelancing. This diverse range of training has equipped me with valuable skills and knowledge across multiple disciplines, enabling me to contribute effectively in various domains of work.
